Drag Me To Hell
Sam Raimi's grim, whacky, scary, and hilarious return to horror gets the fancy Shout Factory treatment. "Drag Me To Hell" didn't make much of a blip at the box office, but it's gotten a much-deserved second life on home "video" formats. While it's been on Blu-ray before, Shout Factory gives the film a slight upgrade and adds some new bonus features that might be of interest to die-hard fans.
The story about a loan officer named Christine (Alison Lohman) who denied an old woman a loan that will result in her being evicted from her house. The woman (Lorna Raver) puts a curse on the poor girl who spends the entire movie being haunted and tortured in over-the-top and often uproarious ways.
The two versions on this release feature a 2k Upgrade of the Theatrical Cut and an HD Master of the Unrated Cut which simply adds extra seconds of full-on gore originally cut to get a PG-13 rating.
Special Features are a mix of old and new and depending on your fandom of the film, whether you want to upgrade is up to you.
