British electronic musician and producer Sophie dropped a new single Thursday, the followup to her queer anthem "It's Okay to Cry."

Sophie shared the video for "Ponyboy," which she directed alongside Nicholas Harwood. It also features the duo FlucT, Monica Mirabile and Sigrid Laure and the video was filmed as part of Red Bull Music Academy's LA Festival Open Beta Series, Pitchfork points out.

The sexy minimal track, which is also on streaming services, features distorted vocals with the lyrics: "Put the pony on all fours /Crack down the whip / Make the pony bite the bit / Spit on my face Put the pony in his place / I am your toy / Just a little Ponyboy."

Prior to releasing "It's Okay to Cry" and its accompanying music video, Sophie stayed out of the public eye. The video was the first time she official appeared on camera. Along with the song's release in October, Sophie clarified she prefers to be identified with she/her pronouns.

Sophie, who is associated with the experimental-pop crew PC Music, has production and songwriting credits for artists like Madonna, Charli XCX, Vince Staples and more. She released her first album "Product" in 2015. Her next album, rumored to be called "Whole New World," is expected to drop in 2018.
