'Ki Ya Yah Yippee Ki Yay!' Thirst-Trapping Gay Cowboys

In the 1939 gay classic "The Women," there is a character named Buck Winston, the cowboy heart-throb of the divorcees staying a Reno dude ranch. This being a film where no men appear, Buck is only talked about; but it his enthusiastic catch phrase — '"Ki Ya Yah Yippee Ki Yay!"— that remains his most famous contribution to film history.

Cowboy Buck wasn't likely gay, though who knows if he had a secret life (it being 1939) and was living in the closet. Today there is no need to be in the closet if you are a cowboy — many are out and proud, and on Instagram:
