Tom Parker, a member of the British boy band The Wanted, took to Instagram Monday to reveal to fans that he has an inoperable brain tumor.

He told fans he has a grade four glioblastoma tumor and is currently undergoing treatment.

"We are all absolutely devastated but we are gonna fight this all the way," Parker, 32, wrote. "We don't want your sadness, we just want love and positivity and together we will raise awareness of this terrible disease and look for all available treatment options."

Earlier this year, the singer revealed he and his wife Kelsey Hardwick are expecting their second child.

Speaking with OK! Magazine, the couple said doctors told them the tumor was a "worst case scenario" situation and that the tumor is terminal.

"They pulled the curtain around my bed and said, 'It's a brain tumour.' All I could think was, 'F*****g hell!' I was in shock. It's stage four glioblastoma and they've said it's terminal. It was a lot to deal with by myself. I still haven't processed it," Parker said.

CNN writes: "The average survival time for patients with a grade four glioblastoma, one of the most serious kinds of tumors, is between a year and 18 months, according to UK nonprofit The Brain Tumour Charity."

The Wanted rose to fame in 2012 for their hit song "Glad You Came," which peaked at No. 3 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. The band broke up in 2014 to pursue other projects.
