On May 3, reproductive rights advocacy organization "A is For" is bringing together stars of stage and screen with "Broadway Acts for Women: A Star-Studded Night of Karaoke and Comedy" to benefit the Center for Reproductive Rights, a global legal advocacy organization dedicated to advancing reproductive rights as fundamental human rights.

"This event will be filled with song and fun, all with the purpose of expanding access to reproductive healthcare," said Martha Plimpton, actor and A is For co-founder. "At this critical moment for reproductive rights, it's exciting to see the Broadway community coming together to support the fight for fair and equal access to health care."

The night of karaoke and comedy will feature performances from Broadway stars, actors, and comedians who support access to reproductive health care, including two-time Tony Award winner Patti LuPone, Howard McGillin, Tony Award winner Tonya Pinkins, Tony Award winner Lena Hall, Montego Glover, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Katie Finneran, Rebecca Luker, Brooks Ashmanskas, Jessica Vosk and many more.

Audience members will have the chance to bid on their favorite Broadway stars singing the song of their choice accompanied by a live band.

Over the last four years, politicians across the U.S. have enacted more than 200 new restrictions on abortion. Today, women face an unprecedented and dramatic loss of safe, legal abortion services due to sham laws designed to eliminate access to reproductive health care-many under the pretext of protecting women's health.

The proceeds for "Broadway Acts for Women" will benefit the Center for Reproductive Rights, whose legal efforts have helped block such laws that attack women's rights and health all across the nation. The Center's recent work includes the injunctions against Texas's far-reaching clinic shutdown law that would have left just a handful of abortion providers in the entire state, North Carolina's demeaning forced ultrasound law, and extreme bans on abortion as early as six and 12 weeks of pregnancy in North Dakota and Arkansas, respectively.

"The powerful voices that are coming together for this event represent quite literally a growing chorus of people across the U.S. who are speaking out to say that every woman deserves equal access to essential health care, no matter where she lives," said Nancy Northup, President and CEO of the Center for Reproductive Rights. "We couldn't be more grateful to A is For and all the amazing stars that have come together to play a part in this fight for reproductive rights, health, and justice."

"Broadway Acts for Women: A Star-Studded Night of Karaoke and Comedy" opens its doors at 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, May 3 at 54 Below, 254 W. 54th Street in New York. Tickets are $50-250.
