Is Lil Nas X's Public Smooch with Cody Jon a Relationship Debut?

Lil Nas X was spotted laying one on Australian singer Cody Jon in an intriguing PDA on Nov. 16. Does the smooch signal a close friendship – or something more?
Fans are full of speculation, TMZ reported, but the two recording artists are neither confirming nor denying.
"The rapper stepped out in Studio City to do some shopping with Cody and, while the two were walking down the street, LNX leaned over and smooched him on his left cheek," TMZ said.
Detailing a series of photos, TMZ described "Cody smiling while Nas goes in for the kiss, making a face when his lips make contact – though overall it seems more like he's jokingly making a face than anything."
"There's a lot of contact here with Lil Nas X touching Cody's neck and shoulder," the writeup added, "and, later on Nas X swings around a pole while CJ tosses him a small smile."
"As it turns out, this isn't the first time that the duo hung out in public either," Queerty recollected. "Earlier this month, Lil Nas X and Jon were spotted together in the front row at Adele's Las Vegas residency, though the 'Easy on Me' singer didn't appear to recognize them."
Queerty provided a quick bio on Cody Jon for those who might not have heard of him before, relaying that he's "a 21-year-old singer-songwriter from Australia who rose to fame after dropping his debut single 'Poison' in 2019."
The report added that Jon's "bedroom-pop sound evokes a range of early influences like Fleetwood Mac, INXS, Brandy, and Aaliyah, with 'Tamagotchis and DS', boy bands, and Avril's 'Sk8er Boi,' all finding a place in the scope of [his] music.'"
With two EPs to his credit, Jon "boasts over 95,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and more than 380,000 TikTok followers," the writeup said.
Gay Twitter weighed in excitedly on the purported match.
"we need the tape," more than one fan commented, while others asked, "who's the top".
"Ah young man love," someone else sighed, while another declared, "happy for them ❤️".
The story even drew the attention of rising progressive influencer Dean Withers, who has been called a "blond Tom Holland," but who took note of Jon's resemblance to himself.
And Withers wasn't the only one to spot the resemblance.
