More Than Hot Takes: Exploring Hunky Twitch Streamer and Commentator Hasan Piker's Instagram

"For over a decade now," Dazed writes, "Hasan Piker has surveyed and critiqued the ebb and flow of American policy, roping in Gen Z audiences with his authenticity and consistent reasoning." He's also incredibly hot.
We've followed the Turkish-American political commentator, basketball fan, and Twitch streamer from his "hot boys for Bernie Sanders" days to more recently as he interviewed incarcerated firemen fighting the fires in Los Angeles. Along the way, we've seen him cut his shoulder-length locks, become fully engaged in a fitness journey that he proudly shares with us, and use his platform to bring awareness to areas of injustice that he's passionate about.
As of 2024, Wikipedia reports that Piker is no. 21 on the list of most-subscribed Twitch channels of all time, where he is the most-subscribed political commentator. Piker's Instagram account is a delightful, effortlessly cool combination of workout videos, media coverage, casual thirst traps that remind his politically-focused audience how hot the person they're following is, and charming photos with his dog, Kaya. With his signature beard, occasional drops of edgy apparel merch, and frequent shirtless mirror selfies, what's not to love?
Today we're sharing some of our favorite Piker posts. While exploring his captions and comments, we learned that his audience is very creative in expressing their thirst with comments like, "The things I want to say about this pic are NOT in the bible"; "bark bark"; "Whatever you say, handsome"; and "With an open heart, and open arms, and open legs, and so forth..." among the type of enthusiastic enjoyment you can find on all his posts.
These are some of our favorite Hasan Piker posts - ones that capture how hot he is, and how blessed we are that he loves posting them.
Piker spending "father daughter time" with his dog, Kaya, each of them on a poolside lounger, the hunk's legs open, sunglasses on, arm up behind his head so we get the best view... We simply love to see it.
This muscle-laden photo of Piker with podcaster and professional boxer Michael Esiobu and eSports streamer Tarik Çelik (who commented "U r jacked buddy" - so true, Tarik) is almost too much at once. Looking at it makes something in our brain ring like an alarm going "arms arms arms, abs, arms!" We're so thankful for other people, especially when they get together to maximize their joint workout results slays. Comments on this post include "The thirst trap is real and divine," "Hasan please have mercy," and our absolute favorite: "Every gay person I know has liked this."
Piker shares regular fitness updates on his Instagram, whether that be "before and after" pics or Stories sharing the distance he ran, the difficulty of his latest workout, or a proud shirtless mirror selfie. According to his caption, this mirror selfie is one of those fitness updates, but let's be real: The Calvin Klein briefs pushed up at his hips to reveal more thigh, the bedroom closet setting... this is a thirst trap. Comments on this post include: "My eyes just shot out like a cartoon wolf," and there's one that simply reads: "turkish DELIGHT." We highly recommend scrolling through the quotes on this post specifically. There's a goldmine of thirsty people.
"Can't believe they flew me out to score 5 points," said Piker when he posted pics from his time at Dream Con, where he joined the Creator League basketball game. Our favorite comment on this post is just two words, but they're two powerful, life-changing words: "Gay porn ❤️".
Another relatable comment: "Had to stop at the 3rd slide for a couple of hours🙂↔" - You'll get it when you see it.
When Hasan Piker posted that he "went to the prettiest basketball court in the world," over a thousand people liked the comment that said "You are the prettiest basketball court in the world" (factually true). This video shows him taking off his shirt and lacing up his Nikes before getting down to dunk on the court, which leads to him removing his white tank top to reveal his tanned, glistening skin.
This photo of Piker carrying his dog lets us know that he spent his "first morning of 32 working out and getting a check up w my doctor." His chest looks strong and radiant in a way that makes us understand the commenters who saw this picture and felt compelled to type, "With a puppy, without a shirt, I'm loving," and "i think about this photo every day" underneath it.
Hasan Piker continued to see "massive gains from the power of emo" while working out on "day three of being emo" and deadlifting 405 lbs. This video is magnificent for so many reasons: The "guyliner," the soundtrack, the tattoos on his neck, the moment he takes his shirt off and begins filming the workout from behind and we can see all his back muscles doing their thing...
We're sharing this post specifically for slide 7. It's a fun photoshoot concept: Piker working on a laptop while jumping on a trampoline, but the way his thighs look when he's in this position mid-air... words fail. It's just incredibly hot.
Piker is sweaty and out of breath in these photos, taken while he was in Japan, where he trained and fought with Sumo wrestlers. He enjoyed the experience enough to joke about staying in the country longer to "pursue Sumo." And we enjoyed this sweaty version of him enough to fully support his Sumo era as long as he's into it.
This is a very impressive workout video, and Piker should be proud of the strength he's built. Unfortunately, we can't concentrate long enough to congratulate him on this, because the comment "That grunt has me in a chokehold" has altered the chemistry of this video so much that all we can think and feel when watching it is a longing to hear that grunt again.
