Matt Gaetz Allegedly Invented Sleazy Point Game for Sexual Conquests
READ TIME: 2 MIN.
Matt Gaetz's past is catching up with him as a sex game he allegedly invented while a Florida legislator in 2013 has come to light after it was reported by the New York Times this week he's under Federal investigation for a relationship with a 17-year- old girl.
The game was first revealed in January 2020 when the Republican congressman engaged in a Twitter battle with Republican State Rep. Chris Latvala. Gaetz had criticized Latvala for tweeting a photo of him meeting with the Rev. Al Sharpton, reported Raw Story at the time.
Gaetz's responded with a Tweet attacking Sharpton.
Latvala then accused "Gaetz of inventing a sleazy game for Florida legislators that included a sexual scoring system," wrote Raw Story.
"In 2013, Politico's Marc Caputo reported that according to the rules of the alleged game, legislators received one point for sleeping with a lobbyist, two points for sleeping with legislative staff, three points for sleeping with another legislator and six points for sleeping with a married legislator," the Raw Story report continued.
According to Raw Story, Gaetz told the Tampa Bay Times that he "had no idea what Chris was talking about," then attacked Latvala: "I know Jack Latvala (had) to resign in disgrace over demanding sexual favors from lobbyists in exchange for appropriations. So, it was likely Chris projecting. I don't start conversations with people on Twitter about their sex lives, especially Latvalas."
He also continued his attacks on Twitter, writing: "Just because I own you on twitter, don't confuse me for your daddy when it comes to abusing power for sex. Also, I missed the defense of Sharpton in your reply.
Latvala dismissed him with a final tweet that could apply to Gaetz's struggles this week: "Have you been drinking tonight? I hope you dont get behind the wheel. I know you have had a rough few days up there."
